I hope all of you have settled into your fall routine.
Back to school.
Back to work.
Back to the gym.
Oh wait. What? You haven’t quite hit that last one? Hmmm…I’m guessing you’re not alone there.
I’m going to throw something out there you may not have thought about before. I’m just looking at things from the 10,000 foot level…
Let’s talk about the 6 month period from say, July 4th through New Year’s Day…
Why do I consider fall – right smack in the middle of this 6 month timeframe – to be so potentially dangerous?
Well, let’s face it. Summer is summer. The average person puts discipline on hold…along with their workouts and most healthy behaviors. Let the good times roll…
Now let’s look at the other end of that 6 month period…
All too often, people adopt that exact same “no rules” approach because of all the family gatherings, travel, office parties, etc.
I look at these two things as a VERY unhealthy pair of bookends. But, just like bookends, it’s the good stuff in between you really care about.
That, my friends, is fall.
So, why did I ask if fall could be bad for you?
Well, fall is really your only chance to erase the negative impact summer had on your bodyweight BEFORE the holidays move in during November, to challenge you again.
Miss this window and the consequences can be tough to overcome…
